On June 8, 2026, Nanjing Yalong Petrochemical Equipment Technology Co., Ltd. and the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering of Southwest Petroleum University (SWPU) officially held a strategic cooperation signing ceremony and exchange symposium at Mingzhi Building, marking a new stage of collaboration in talent cultivation, technological innovation, and industry–academia integration.
Representatives attending the event included Mr. Chen Yijun, General Manager and Senior Engineer of Nanjing Yalong Petrochemical Equipment Technology Co., Ltd., Mr. Li Hao, Chief Engineer, as well as Dean Han Chuanjun, Vice Dean Wang Guorong, Vice Dean Cai Can, and Vice Dean Shi Changshuai from the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering.
During the symposium, Dean Han Chuanjun introduced the college's achievements in academic development, faculty construction, scientific research, and engineering education. He noted that the university's research strengths are highly compatible with Nanjing Yalong's expertise in petrochemical equipment and oilfield technologies, providing a solid foundation for long-term cooperation.
Mr. Chen Yijun shared an overview of Nanjing Yalong's core business, technological capabilities, and market development. He expressed the company's commitment to building a long-term partnership with Southwest Petroleum University through collaborative research, internship programs, practical training opportunities, and talent recruitment initiatives.
At the signing ceremony, Vice Dean Cai Can and Chief Engineer Li Hao signed the industry–university cooperation agreement on behalf of both parties. According to the agreement, the two sides will jointly establish practical education and training bases, promote scientific research collaboration, strengthen technical exchanges, and create more internship and employment opportunities for students.
